Sony Europe introducted the VPL-VW100 Full High Definition SXRD home theatre projector. This an HD-resolution (1920 x 1080) SXRD(TM) projector with a 15,000:1 contrast ratio designed for home cinema enthusiasts. The projector uses the most advanced technology available to produce clear, sharp and natural images, and incorporates versatile features with a sleek white design.
The VPL-VW100 offers the highest ever contrast ratio from Sony thanks to its Advanced Iris System, which controls the shutter aperture. This permits contrast ratios of up to 15,000:1; producing white that is brighter in the bright scenes and black which is deeper in the dark scenes.
