Yamaha announced a mid-range home projector, the DPX-830 available for $4,200. The specs are impressive; native 720p outfitted with the TI DarkChipII DLP tech. The 4000:1 contrast ratio and up to 1000 ANSI lumens and a six-segment color wheel round out the display. HDMI connection, and a 26dB quiet operation.

For $12,495 you are able to purchase the DPX-1300. It’s a DarkChip3 DLP with 5:000 to 1 contrast ratio. It can also project 4:3 sources onto 16:9 screens and lots of other little features.
